ICEI’s model provides measurable outcomes through ongoing and rigorous assessment of students’ reading and writing. Students are assessed at least three times each year using both written and oral assessment tools. ICEI’s in-house assessment department processes and returns data to teachers in a timely fashion, to enable them to design their instruction to meet the specific needs of their students. Teachers learn how to effectively monitor students’ progress and, more importantly, how to use the data to drive their instruction both on the class level and the individual level.

Dr. Iris Jerby, ICEI's Director of Assessment and Research, has overseen an extensive upgrade of our data collection and assessment website and dramatically improved ICEI's ability to provide educators in the field with timely useful data. The new website will go online in Fall 2016.
