Moriah Fund

ICEI benefits from the unique commitment of the Moriah Fund and profits from the long experience of the Moriah Fund in assisting the Ethiopian-Israeli community. The Moriah Fund works to secure the support of additional foundations Jewish Federations, and individual donors.
The Moriah Fund is a private foundation established in the United States in 1985 to perpetuate the lifelong philanthropic commitment of its founders, Robert and Clarence Efroymson. Their philosophy of giving was rooted in fundamental Jewish values: a concern for the disadvantaged and an emphasis on self-help; a commitment to equity and justice; and a desire to improve the quality of life for Jews and non-Jews alike.
ICEI benefits from the unique commitment of the Moriah Fund and from its experience in assisting the Ethiopian-Israeli community.
In accordance with these values the Moriah Fund’s mission integrates concern for the basic needs of all people - especially the most disadvantaged - and for the well-being and continuation of the Jewish people.
In Israel the Moriah Fund has been involved for more than two decades in social change. Since the immigration of Ethiopian Jews to Israel, the fund has supported the community in their integration into Israeli society.
